Weddings are great fun, each wedding is unique and poses the challenge to meet the expectations of the bride, groom and guests. Age groups are varied and taste in music. I try to cater for all the guests especially the bride and groom.
Music creates mood and at weddings we can take the mood from gentle romantic cheek to cheek dancing, to fast paced energetic beats to stimulate our dance moves. The mood is constantly changing, tempo and genres of the music have to be adjusted continually throughout the evening. A jukebox or ipod effect should be avoided where one song plays on after another regardless of the mood.
My aim at weddings is to create a mood that is light and enjoyable. At the bottom of this page are some of the testimonials from weddings I have DJ'd at.
My personal thoughts: LIGHTING & SOUND
A sense of drama can be created with the right lighting. As the bride and groom come onto the dance floor for their first dance a small amount of fog produces a dry ice effect. Rays of coloured beams revolve highlighting the bride and groom and also add movement. I take four professional DJ lighting effects including a green and red laser which produces beams and shapes on the ceiling. The modern professional sound system I use balances trebles and bass to give a clear sound with a beat to dance to. I have the mixer that could be used in a nightclub but most of the mixing is about mood and tempo rather than matching beats.
My personal thoughts: THE DJ
A DJ needs an understanding of music and mood and needs to control the lighting and sound mixing equipment, but also a DJ should act and look decent. Imagine a DJ with old jeans and scruffy shirt being rude to guests. As a wedding DJ I always make a point to dress accordingly and any announcements to be made are in keeping with the function. I personally will be your DJ and you can you see what I look like.
My personal thoughts: THE COST

Thank you so much for the great job you did with the music at my daughter's wedding. Everyone really enjoyed the dancing and got into it. Sophie and Denis were really happy with the music too and it was great to see everyone up dancing. You catered really well for all age groups - the youngest was 5 years old and the oldest 78 and they were on the dance floor most of the night!
